Rotary of San Miguel Midday has invested more than US$1,000,000 in our community. The club has throughout its 15 years has concentrated on developing and implementing community service projects, many of which were designed to address the major water problems confronting our region. The following list indicates some of these water-related projects and their initial year of implementation.
- 2008 Water harvesting pilot project in San Miguel Viejo
- 2009 Water testing equipment for CEDESA
- 2009 Water harvesting cisterns (initial project in Los Torres)
- 2014 Global Grant for 120 water harvesting systems in San Miguel rural communities. (US$78,000)
- 2017 Club grant to support COCIRA members to attend 120 hour diplomado about the Independence Aquifer from Dr Marcos Adrian Ortega, UNAM
